31 Days of Batman Day 23: Joker (The Animated Series)!

Hi friends!

Here’s day 23! I borrowed my friend just like in my beast boy look! It’s nice to do makeup on someone else’s face but I find it a little more difficult and I can’t do as much as I could on my own. I’m sure other people feel the same. Today I covered Batman The Animated Series Joker, which is voiced by the amazing Mark Hamill!

jokertas4

I did some photo editing for my comparison photo.

jokertas5

I love how this turned out even though it’s far from perfect.

I can’t believe how few looks are left! I still have lots of work to do but it’s coming to an end pretty quickly all the same!

If this is the first look you’re seeing, you can check out the others here! If you’re interested in seeing more, you can follow my instagram, our twitter, or subscribe directly to this site via email! See you next time!

31 Days of Batman Day 17: Poison Ivy!

Hi friends!

Today I painted myself green. It took forever to get off. However the results looked pretty great! I decided to go with the Arkham Asylum Poison Ivy. I HAD to do her at least once, my middle name is Ivy so she’s my namesake! Here’s how it turned out!

poisonivy4

I did an eye edit because I don’t have any coloured contacts, just like yesterday for Enchantress!

Here’s a comparison picture to her model.

poisonivy5

Obviously I don’t have the tiny nose like she does, or those crazy eyebrow arches, but I think it turned out okay!

Main Products Used:

Make Up For Ever- Flash Color Palette in Artistic

Hard Candy- Glamoflauge Concealer in Ultra Light (SOLD OUT?)

Hard Candy- Top Ten Trendsetters Eyeshadow Collection Raining Men

Too Faced- Melted Berry Lipstick

Jeffree Star Cosmetics- Velour Liquid Lipstick in Mistletoe (SOLD OUT) and Drug Lord (SOLD OUT)

I honestly think that Melted Ruby would have been a better lipstick to go with but I don’t own it. I really wanted to use one of the Too Faced Melted because they have that vinyl look to them like in the art for Poison Ivy.

Thats day 17! Can’t believe we’re that far along. If this is the first one you’re seeing, you can check out the others here! If you’re interested in seeing more, you can follow my instagram, our twitter, or subscribe directly to this sitevia email! See you next time!

31 Days of Batman Day 15: Red Hood

Hi friends!

The Red Hood is a fabulous character. If you want to watch/read Under the Red Hood, don’t read any further, you’ll get spoilers.

My look isn’t based off any particular look of the Red Hood, I just liked the idea of Jason Todd chipping away to become the Red Hood!

31 Days of Batman Day 13: Pfeiffer Catwoman!

Hi friends!

Today is the day. Ohh yes. Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman was an absolute must-have for my list. She redefined and popularized Catwoman back in the 90’s the same way that Margot Robbie did to Harley Quinn this year. She is a STUNNER in her Catwoman suit, and I wanted so badly to recreate it!

catwoman5

Oh yeah. I love it. Here’s my comparison picture in the case that you’ve never seen her before!

catwoman6

My biggest regret is not taking a picture with that pose.

Obviously I skipped the intense cat eye makeup and traded it with something more modern, because this is my challenge and I do things the way I want, basically. I wanted it to look super shiny so I didn’t do the whole thing flat black, but I put highlight all over the middle of my forehead and down the center of my nose. The stitches were super fun to do, just with basic white liquid liner! This look is SO SIMPLE, SO FUN and it gave me a load of confidence!

31 Days of Batman Day 5: Scarecrow!

Hi friends!

We’re back again today with another Batman character. It’s Wednesday, and Wednesdays are American Horror Story nights so I decided to do one of the creepier characters in Batman (and also one of my favourites). Let’s go!

scarecrow3And an extra comparison picture to the reference photo I used (though to be honest I ended up taking my own take on it because there are many different Scarecrows)

scarecrow4I kinda like how this turned out even though it doesn’t look like the Arkham Scarecrow. Scarecrow is a creepy dude so I just did my own creepy thing.

31 Days of Batman Day 3: Adam West Batman!

Hi friends!

Still trying to catch up to where I am on my instagram account, so there’s still one more post to go for today! This is my favourite one I’ve done so far. I am super in love with this character. Here we go!

adamwebatman3

Anddd here’s an extra photo that I didn’t post on insta compared to the reference photo I used!

adamwebatman4

I know the pictures don’t vary much, I find a lot of the illusion of face painting is ruined when you take it from different angles. So this is a slightly side view. Illusion still works super well at this angle. Oh also it’s worth noting that obviously this isn’t a photograph of Adam West as Batman. Instead, is the cover art of Batman ’66 Vol. 1, in which the design of Batman is based off Adam West’s character! I highly recommend this graphic novel to any Bat fan.

(Yep. That’s the only thing I used.)

We’re almost caught up to instagram now! Check out day one and day two if you haven’t already! Make sure to subscribe to the site via email or through WordPress if you’re interested in seeing more looks! You can also follow our twitter for updates! Thanks again guys!

31 Days of Batman Day 2: Cyborg!

Hi friends!

Like I said in my previous post I will be posting a few of my 31 Days of Batman to try to catch up to where I am on my Instagram account! 31 Batman looks throughout October, here’s the second!

cyborg3

Here’s my comparison photo to (one of) the reference shot I used:

cyborg4

I’m still learning how to do face painting so it’s nothing spectacular compared to the lovely picture provided, but I do like how mine turned out a lot. The cream paint I used for the silver had micro glitter in it, and it stuck to my skin really bad, so be warned.

Main Products Used:

Make Up For Ever- Flash Color Palette in Artistic

Kat Von D- Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette (SOLD OUT)

Kat Von D- Tattoo Liner in Trooper

(Literally the same as day 1, and most of the days I’ve done so far)

So there’s day 2! I will be posting day 3 and 4 later, so that I can be fully caught up to where I currently am! Check out my previous post here! If you are interested in more, you can subscribe via email or through WordPress to see more of these! Thanks!

31 Days of Batman Day 1: Suicide Squad Harley!

Hi friends!

I meant to start posting this as of October 1st to try to get back into using the blog, but then I forgot. So I’ll post today! I started doing a Halloween challenge on Instagram  to try to do 31 different Batman looks throughout the month of October! So far I’m really enjoying it (aside form the fact that Instagram refuses to post my hashtags). It’s helping me learn how to do some face painting techniques. It’s always fun to try new makeup styles!

Before I get into anything, I wanna note the lighting of these pictures, and all of the ones in this challenge for that matter, will look different from one another. I made a DIY ring light and with the lighting in the room that I am using  (which isn’t much) everything is turning out a little yellow. So I’m doing some colour correcting afterwards.

Anyway with that being said, I’m going to try to catch up with where I am on Instagram, so don’t mind the few posts that I’m doing today.

harleyrobbie3

Anddddd here’s a comparison photo, with the picture I used for reference. Obviously I went a little less with the dirt/bruising but same concept and placement of things!

harleyrobbie4

First off is Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn from the Suicide Squad! You can expect different versions of Harley in my challenge, as she’s one of my favourite characters. But I decided to start with this one since she’s fresh and relevant. I love doing bruising and imperfect makeup looks, so I REALLY enjoyed doing this.

Main products in use:

Make Up For Ever- Flash Color Palette in Artistic

Kat Von D- Mi Vida Loca Remix Eyeshadow Palette (SOLD OUT)

Kat Von D- Tattoo Liner in Trooper

That’s it for now! I’ll be posting again later with day 2 and 3 to play catch up! If you’re interested, subscribe via email or through WordPress to see more of these looks! Thanks!
